First Financial Bank Holiday Joy Drive

Children smile with their holiday gifts.

This holiday season, you can bring joy to children in need — and feel the joy of helping others — by donating to our second annual Holiday
Joy Drive.

Now through December 8, all First Financial banking centers are collecting new, unwrapped toys as well as cash to benefit organizations that provide gifts to kids whose families can’t afford to buy Christmas presents.

How to donate

You'll find toy donation barrels and counter boxes for cash in every First Financial lobby throughout our service area. Our associates in each county selected the nonprofit organizations to receive the toys and funds from the drive. All donations made in your county will stay in your county, and First Financial Corporation will also make a monetary contribution to each of the designated organizations.

A lasting impact

Remember, your gift will do more than delight a child on Christmas morning. It will also send a message of hope that the world is filled with caring people, happy to share life’s blessings with their neighbors in need. The impact of your generosity will be multiplied, as the kids you help today are more likely to become generous adults. And that can spread joy for years to come.

What to donate

Toys are needed for all age groups, from infants to teens. When deciding what to donate, think of what you might give to children in your own family.

Toys should be new and unwrapped to allow volunteers to sort them appropriately.

Holiday drives usually receive many items for younger kids, but gifts for children 12+ are often in short supply. Some suggested items for older kids include:

  • Sports equipment (basketballs, footballs, baseballs, gloves, etc.)
  • Sports t-shirts and caps
  • Art supplies and craft kits
  • Bath and body gift sets
  • Make-up and nail art kits
  • Books and journals
  • Board games and card games
  • Scarves and gloves
  • Wallets and purses

If you are unsure what to donate, cash is always appreciated. It allows each organization to purchase gifts that are needed most.
