Popmoney is the easy way to send, request or receive money

Popmoney is a simple and secure way to "Pay Other People" from your First Financial Bank checking account. With Popmoney, you can send payments to anyone who has a U.S. bank or credit union account using either their email address, mobile phone number or bank account information. You can also request and receive payments via Popmoney and deposit the funds directly into your account.

Popmoney is useful for all sorts of everyday or special occasions:

  • Pay your rent or collect rent from roommates
  • Send or request money for club dues, sports teams or group activities
  • Pay the babysitter or lawn care service
  • Send money to your son or daughter at college
  • Chip in on the office birthday party or baby shower
  • Reimburse friends who bought dinner or concert tickets
  • Give the gift of money — and make your gift special by choosing from a variety of themed e-greetings within Popmoney

Getting started with Popmoney
You must be enrolled in First Onlne Banking to use Popmoney. When you log into First Online, click the Move Money tab and select Popmoney from the drop-down menu. As a new user, you will be asked to confirm your date of birth, Social Security number, email address and mobile phone number. This is a security measure to protect your account and to make sure you receive Popmoney notifications.

TO SEND MONEY

  1. Log into First Online Banking, click the Move Money tab at the top of the page and select Popmoney from the drop-down menu.
  2. Choose Send Money and select the contact you are sending money to. Add a new contact if needed.
  3. Enter the payment amount, the send date and the delivery speed: Standard Delivery (3 business days) or Express Delivery (next day).*
  4. An email or text will be sent to the recipient explaining how to claim the funds.
  5. You will be notified when the transaction is complete.

TO RECEIVE MONEY

  1. You will receive an email or text to let you know you have a payment waiting.
  2. Log into First Online banking, click the Move Money tab and select Popmoney from the drop-down menu.
  3. Choose the First Financial account where you want the funds to be deposited.
  4. Simplify the process by enabling Auotmatic Deposit. On the Popmoney Overview page, designate one account where all your incoming payments will be deposited. You'll still receive notifcations. 

TO REQUEST MONEY

  1. Log into First Online banking, click the Move Money tab and select Popmoney from the drop-down menu.
  2. Choose Request Money and select the contact you are requesting money from. Add a new contact if needed.
  3. Enter an amount and choose the First Financial account where you want the funds to be deposited.
  4. Add a due date (optional).
  5. An email or text will be sent to your contact with instructions on how to send money to you.

Popmoney Fees
*The fee for sending a Popmoney payment is $1.00 for Standard Delivery (3 business days) and $7.00 for Express Delivery (next day). There is no fee to the person receiving money. If you are accessing Popmoney on your mobile phone or device, text and/or data usage charges may apply — check with your wireless carrier.
