Home Equity Application Checklist


The loan application will request the following information:

  • Personal information (name, address, date of birth, etc.)
  • Annual income
  • Employer information (name, address, phone number, job title, start date, etc). 
  • Documented verification of income, employment and other financial information based on your specific situation
  • Monthly mortgage payment
  • Current mortgage holder and payoff amount on the mortgage
  • Current property value
  • Occupancy type, such as owner occupied, non-owner occupied or second home
  • Recurring expenses for the property, such as insurance, taxes or homeowner association dues

What happens after you apply:

  • If additional information is required for your application, a member of the home equity lending team will contact you.
  • We will order an appraisal, title search and flood certification on the property.

Here's what to expect at closing:

  • If your loan is approved, we will set up a convenient time for you to stop by your nearest First Financial banking center to sign the loan documents and receive your funds.
